This centerpiece is chocked full of TLC (texture, layers, character). Just look at the texture here. From the jute woven runner to the rustic wooden crate to the florals and even a few velvet pumpkins. The texture is eye candy. It gives you something interesting to gaze at. That is why texture is one of the most important aspects of designing a fabulous fall centerpiece. In fact, if you’d like more tips on how to add texture to your home’s decor I have a free tip sheet just for you. You can download the tip sheet here.

Layers are the second most important aspect of home decorating. Just look at all those luscious layers. Wooden table, woven runner, wooden crate, florals, then the piece de la resistance pumpkins. When working with layers all you really need to do is load it up. Don’t be afraid to place one thing on top of another. This wooden crate would have been beautiful with just flowers in it. Adding the pumpkins takes it over the top. The layers take the fall centerpiece from pretty to stunning. Trust me, my friend, you want your home to look stunning. Here is another example of how I add layers to my home decor.

Wowzers, would you just look at all that character? I think those pumpkins are absolutely perfect. The orange pumpkins are Martha Stewart brand, unfortunately, they aren’t available anymore. Sorry, I wanted to link them for you. But the large white pumpkins are actually a large floral stem which makes them perfect to tuck into a variety of arrangements. You can still get those from Hobby Lobby. Just click here. I have it linked for you. I’m not an affiliate yet. (wink, wink).

Speaking of character I’ve added in a few other ways as you can see in this final picture. The candle adds character, it makes the whole centerpiece feel cozy and who doesn’t love a delicious candle-lit dinner? I know I do. What a fantastic way to start a warm cozy fall evening.

The other character piece is not as obvious. Do you see the bowl the smaller pumpkins are tucked into? It’s an old yellowware piece that I’ve had for many years. I love it in this display. I placed it on a small wooden riser to give it a little height then filled it with mini velvet pumpkins. The bowl adds character because it is unexpected.

I created a video for those of you who would love to see the step-by-step process of how I created this centerpiece. I give you a better description of each item I used. If you’re a visual learner like I am then go on over to my YouTube channel and watch the video. Just click here for a direct link.

I had so much fun creating this Fabulous Fall Centerpiece and I hope it inspired you to create something beautiful today.
