The Faithful Decorator

My Simple and Classic Fall Porch Decor

I’ve had quite a few requests from you my faithful friends to show more outdoor decorating inspiration. Here it is, my simple and classic fall porch decor. I have a tendency to tweak my decorations as the seasons evolve which makes it challenging to get a final look, but this is about as final as I am going to get, after all, I’ll begin Christmas decorating soon and I cannot wait to share some exciting news with you. You will definitely want to keep checking back here on this blog. If you haven’t done so yet you need to make sure you sign up to receive my emails because that will keep you in the know.

Looking to your left after walking up just three steps to my porch, you will see see this adorable vignette. Aren’t those pumpkins the best. I’m a little sad that they are fresh pumpkins because I won’t get to enjoy them after this season. But, golly I sure have hearts in my eyes right now. What do you think about the pillows? I purchased those last year at Walmart. I’m not sure if you can still find these particular ones, but you can find some super cute pillows right here. They are perfect for carrying out the pumpkin theme on this simple and classic fall porch.

To the left of the front door is this cute little scene. I’ve had this little red rocker for many years. I purchased it an auction. Do you enjoy auctions? I love them, but I do get nervous because it seems like my head will get itchy and I’m afraid to scratch. I don’t want to bid on something I have no intention of buying. Crazy I know. Oh, I can’t forget about the little Radio Flyer wagon. It’s too cute with those little pumpkins stacked inside.

Enjoy this overhead view. I love the bold red and yellow with the buffalo check rug. The colors really pop which is what you want when it comes to curb appeal. You definitely want your home to pop.

Here is a better view of the right side of my porch. Again carrying the pumpkin theme all through out the porch. Keeping the orange and yellow colors consistent. The buffalo check is also making another appearance as chair pads.

Something I feel is absolutely essential when decorating outdoors is lighting. Here I used seed lights wrapped around a garland that frames my front door. The lighting is cozy and inviting especially now that the sun is setting earlier. Nobody wants to come home to a dark house, so make sure you use accent lighting.

I didn’t want to forget about this little stoop. This is the entrance to our mudroom. It is the entrance we use the most, next to our garage door. It is cuteness overload from the green truck door mat to the gnome porch sign.

I love to use old rustic pieces and this crate fits that description. The bottom is filled with large pumpkins and the top is great to elevate this white mum and mini pumpkins. I should probably put the mum in a cute pot. Oh the things you realize when you take a picture. Like I said I’m always tweaking my decor.
